Chapter Three

The Third Dream

As the weeks passed, it seemed I had lost the power to dream. Or at least to dream about sex. I still visited the lab three times a week, but the hot, erotic flights of fancy I’d found myself describing when the research had first begun no longer haunted my nights.

Not that I minded. I was getting more than enough sex during my waking hours. At first, I had been reluctant to become involved in a ménage with Adam and Nicky. I worried I might somehow come between the two of them, but it quickly became obvious there was very little chance of that. They were devoted to each other, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t be devoted to me, too.

Between them, they showed me everything two men could do to a woman, but I also spent plenty of time with each of them on their own. Nicky’s job revolved around a pattern of shifts which often saw him working nights. This meant if I wasn’t temping, I could turn up at the house in the afternoon and find him there, refreshed after a few hours’ sleep and raring to go. He was so much bigger and stronger than me it was easy for him to pick me up and fuck me against the wall, but he also liked it when I bent him over a chair and smacked his ass with a hairbrush.

With Adam, I was more submissive, and I often felt the sting of his palm on my bottom. When I’d been with Jason I had never imagined I might actually enjoy being spanked, but Adam knew how to bring me to the point where pain became pleasure and I begged for more of his touch.

So when I signed into the sleep lab one Tuesday evening, I was prepared for another night of mundane dreams. I suspected Molly Paterson was, too. She’d never said anything, but I sensed she was disappointed I hadn’t been able to share any juicy stories with her since the night I’d dreamed of my first threesome.

That night, I lay awake for much longer than usual. Indeed, I was almost on the point of getting out of bed and telling Molly, who was the researcher on duty, I was going home. But at last I drifted off.

Instantly, I was plunged into a nightmare world. I was on a landing filled with thick, choking smoke. Strangely, though, my lungs were taking in cool, clean air, but as I became aware of a rhythmic hissing sound, I realised why. I was wearing some kind of breathing apparatus.

This was so scarily real it had to be a premonition of something to come. I couldn’t see flames, but I could feel the heat they were giving off. And as I glanced down at my oddly bulky frame, dressed in a drab brown fireman’s uniform, I realised I wasn’t in my own body. I was in Nicky’s.

It explained why I felt no panic at being in a burning building, just a calm sense of professionalism.
